Founded in 2018, NutriGo SA Pty is a spinout from the Tshwane University of Technology, Department of Pharmaceutical Science.
Combining "African tradition with Modern Nutrition", Niselo was developed by a team of leading technical experts with interests in product development and innovation focusing on the neglected foods of Africa. Niselo is an innovative and affordable nutraceutical product that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; Zero Hunger (SDG2) and Good Health & Wellbeing (SDG3).
Niselo® is marketed as a healthy, nutritious, probiotic-rich “food and drink on the go”. It is made from fermented sorghum - an indigenous, climate smart grain that is rich in protein, pre-biotic fibre, and micronutrients.
To explore and exploit Niselo’s potential beyond Sub-Saharan Africa, a new venture, BiaGo Ltd (SC747240), was establilshed in Scotland during 2022 to develop the UK market with plans for expansion to Europe and USA afterwards.
